“chewy on ya boot”

Back from a cold and disappointing day at the MCG where I watched my boys (the Adelaide Crows) loose to the better team on the day – Richmond.   If there is anything more frustrating in life than watching a player miss a set shot on goal, it’s watching lots of players miss multiple set shots on goal.  Seriously, I think the Richmond cheer squad’s taunts to –  ‘miss it’, ‘ya got chewy on ya boot mate’, must have had some psychic power because I have never seen so many gimme goals go out on the full, or (if we were lucky) go through for a point.

That said: being at the ‘G’ on a winter afternoon (complete with a hailstorm) watching a football match, is never a wasted experience.  And if I am honest, hearing the whole ground shake to the tiger fans’ rendition of “YELLOW & BLACK” is also a ‘footy experience’ that you need to hear at least once.

Live in Melbourne born in Adelaide, and thus love Cooper's Pale Ale, Haigh's chocolates and a good Mclaren Vale shiraz. But am now also addicted to 'good' coffee, wearing black, and footy at the MCG
