If life were a hollywood movie…

Tonight’s commute was a classic example of how little life resembles the big screen, especially when it comes to that genre known as “rom com” ie romantic comedies.

Rom Coms are the movies that star quirky but adorable heroines, who bump into ‘studdly’ but caring heroes.  Witty repartee ensues, and all live happily ever after.

Cut to Real (as opposed to Reel) Life.

Tired, rumpled, and recovering from a cold, heroine (me), looses earring on train.  Gorgeous and caring hero – yes ladies he was the original Tall, Dark & Handsome!!- locates earring and returns it to heroine.  Although heroine flashes her most winsome and alluring smile, the witty repartee  is noticeably absent.

The lost and found earring

End Credits.

ps I wonder if I could entice Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, or Cameron Diaz to act on my behalf on the next 5:09 train to Craigieburn?
